Building Utah Youth (BUY), a nonprofit organization, was established in 2007 by area companies in Northern Utah to provide powerful leadership training to the youth of our communities. Our guest today is John Buck, a Taylorsville High School graduate who went from playing baseball here in Utah to spending 11 seasons as a Major League catcher and becoming an MLB All-Star. But John’s impact today goes well beyond baseball. He’s remained heavily involved with young athletes in Utah and has become an outspoken advocate for mental health, resilience and having honest conversations about the struggles young people and adults alike face.
